IHC New Zealand Inc IHC is a membership organisation. Its direction is set by the NZ Association, a group of volunteers from IHC's membership. IHC's activities are divided into three arms. By far the largest is their service provision arm called IDEA Services. The second arm is called Timata Hou, which also delivers services, but to a small group of service users with an intellectual disability and high and complex behaviour needs. The third arm covers activities under the IHC name. In general, these activities impact on all people with intellectual disabilities, not just the service users that the government funds IHC to support. IHC calls them non-government activities because they are funded by fundraising money and include: Advocacy; Self Advocacy; Volunteering; Membership; Information services; and Property. |
